The BBC showed tonight a programme in the series 'The Lost World of Friese-Green'. In it there was a fair bit of footage taken in the 1920s, in colour, around Coniston. It follows a group of fell walkers and climbers. This must have been exactly what AR saw when he went there after returning from Russia.

There's a load of archive colour film from the series, on the site. All worth looking at.

I'm not sure that people outside the UK can see it in broadband- there are contractual reasons for this, as always...
