Colour (still) photographs by the Lumieré brothers’ Autochrome system (launched commercially in Paris in 1907) and the Paget or Duplex system (patented in Britain in 1912) were produced before World War One, and there are some WWI colour photos, see item below from the Australian War Memorial Museum website.

The Lakeland shots by Friese-Greene were moving pictures though. The RealPlayer version from the BBC seemed to work (not smoothly) on my dialup connection in New Zealand.
