Although the most recent posts may not show it, we do discuss Arthur Ransome here -- really we do!
We're all here because we love the books, whether we discovered them as children or not until later in our lives. Some of us are scholars, some are sailors, many are neither. Some of us now have children of our own that we've introduced to AR, with varying results.
As we've gotten to know each other, some posts have become more personal, among friends who have expressed an interest in each others' lives peripheral to AR; other posts may begin entirely on topic and ramble so far off that there's no resemblance left. Some posts discuss obscure details and others speculate on the basis of the realities behind AR's fiction.
Join us! Read for a while, reply and respond, post your own questions and comments and observations. We're all here with a mutual interest, and all those who share the interest are welcome to hang around.
