The use of the plural here ('you lot') is unfair. It is the 'plague on both your houses' syndrome. If Mike had taken the trouble to read what was going on, he could have come to a rational decision on the issues, one way or the other. What he has done is just condemn everyone.
If Mike and the 'many of us' (?) do not want to read what was going on, then they needn't. The fact that new threads kept being started was due to a newcomer not knowing the ropes - we've all been there. A bit of tolerance, please.
