Very well put, Richard. My experience also. Some of the posts on this thread justify my distrust of the 'literal' approach to AR's lake locations. If you are obsessed with 'real' locations - Beckfoot, WCI, Horseshoe Cove, Rio etc - then the reality will inevitably disappoint. If you use your imagination right from the start, then the 'reality' soon merges into the AR version, as Richard found. I have had some stick in the past on Tarboard for decrying the over-literal approach to Beckfoot bathrooms etc etc, but if you take that approach you are doomed to frustration, endless nitpicking and ultimate disappointment (IMHO).
