Ransome and Aeroplanes

I seem to recall that AR disliked aeroplanes (airplanes to us U.S. folk). (Or at any rate disapproved of them as one of the things that were changing the world for the worse.)

Is there any evidence at all that he ever actually traveled by air or took a ride in a private or commercial plane?
