Thanks for the leads on a new author. One of my favorites, although he didn't write juvenile literature, is Ganpat (M.L. Gompertz) He wrote fantasy, adventure, mysteries, in the 20's and 30's. They'd probably be on Capt. Flint's bookshelves.
The best known is probably Harilek.
