I totally agree with you.

Jock - No problem - I valued your contribution. Unfortunately, while I can remember at least one example of an invented word, I cannot give any details of the stories it was used in. I recall 'Children's Hour' on the old Home Service (that dates me), and a serial about a group of brothers and sisters. When they wished strongly to praise anything, they said that it was 'absolutely newgar' (or some word like that). Does anyone who is old enough know what I am talking about, or am I rambling as usual?
