carries trichinosis -- I hope this well-documented fact means that they make a point in cooking the wild pork well and truly *done*.

I tend to be emphatic about this after knowing someone who did get trichinosis from wild boar. It took the doctors a very long time to figure out what could be wrong with him since "everyone knows" that pork has to be well cooked -- so it "couldn't" be that, right? But it was.
