A great idea - a pity bullies often don't recognise what they are doing as bullying and sadly, if parents are brought into the equation they also don't see their child's actions as bullying.
Trashing others ideas and opinions in public because you don't agree with them seems to be prevalent in the media and as a former teacher I noticed it increase in classrooms, so I'm not at all surprised to see it appear in chatrooms and the like. Confronting the bully and then pretty much ignoring their consequent sniping seems to work on the 'net, but I pity those who get it at school and work. It's almost impossible to stamp out especially when the bully is also your boss.
