If there were to be another AR film, my choice would also be WDMTGTS - the snippet enacted for the TV programme AR in East Anglia gave a brief glimpse of the drama that could unfold. Given that the narrative itself covers a pretty brief period of time, the opportunity to express it all dramatically would not, I think, be overstretched. A potentially wonderful mixture of the elements versus a tiny group of children enclosed in a vulnerable cutter, plus the risks of heading for any shore (wreckers? shoals?).... Another factor (although I would personally want the story to be presented in its correct period setting) is that in a sense the drama could just as easily be enacted today. Even the addition of life-jackets wouldn't alter the shock of John's slip on the deck.
Anyone got lots of money to make it?
