If my memory serves me correctly, it was in Secret Water that Titty called the yachts anchored in the creek by Flint Island ‘Arab Dhows’.
Somehow, I don’t think that this
is how she how she visualised them!
Taken last week while pottering up The Creek in Dubai in an abra (water taxi). It was great to see them and to see that they are still numerous and still very much working boats carrying a very wide range of cargo.
Disapointing that there are no sailing ones left though.
