My point is that I don't see extrensive leave and "often" as occurring in a wartime situation
However over the period 1911-1913, it's more likely, the only question is: where?
She would have moved in the circles that met young RN officers
My second point is this is more likely in Sydney (with his ship anchored in Sydney Harbour) than London (with it being in Portsmouth, or even Gibraltar)
Then there is the fact that she also visited New Zealand that demands explanation.
I don't have the particular book on naval history to hand, but my recollecton its that with only two transfers between ships over a 7 year period, Ted can be moved to Australia in 1906, to New Zealand in 1912, and the Mediterranean in 1913.
