1. Welcome Carla: There are a few sailors on this TarBoard who have boats in England. I am sure one of those kind souls will take you for a sail and teach you the finer points of righting a boat after flipping on your side. My 11 year old daughter loves sailing and the lake district but is not enamoured by the books so there is hope for your other half yet. Walk him up the big hill and he might change his mind. A beer at each end is nice.
