The Days Hotel (they have changed the notice on the wall since I stayed there) is a perfectly reasonable hotel. It is about a quarter of a mile from Westminster Bridge, and Great George Street is about 150 yards from the other (north) end of the bridge.
It is within sight of Lambeth North Tube station, but that is not a good one for getting to Westminster - nor is Euston, and that's the other side of London. If you need transport, there are lots of buses across the bridge.
I think the only hotel closer to GG Street is the Marriott(?) in County Hall right by the bridge, but it's more expensive.
