Should these 'amazing' facts preclude me from discussing Ransome?

A love of Ransome has led me to some magical holidays in the Lakes and encouraged a taste for Slavonic folktales. I would, therefore, like to be able to discuss Ransome with fellow TarBoarders. Is this not unreasonable?
