Whilst in some respects a lot of these regulations seem over-reaction.
In most cases they are to protect stupid people from their own actions and actions towards others.
Also employees from employers cutting corners for profit.
I think if all people acted responsibly these measures would not be needed.
You do not have to go far to see irresponsible behaviour in all aspects of life.
Also we now live in a society where suing is the way to go by a large segment of the population.
Things have changed since the 1930s
