I think GN was the only one where a written outline was given to AR. Other books may well have been based on an idea he had discussed with others and he did say that Oscar Gnosspelius provided much of the technical detail for PP.
We can never really know what provided the idea for a book, but we can be sure that AR used the experiences of others as well as himself to include much fact based background. I think the books are stronger for this level of detail.
