Joe - Such catch-all words! Never mind AR's books, it would be nice if you read my posts, or are you reading that 'other TarBoard' again? I did not suggest, imply, allude, etc etc that anyone 'is thick' because they have not read all of AR. That would be ridiculous and somewhat offensive, and therefore your accusation is offensive. The point I was making was, and I stick to it, that IMHO such a person will not really be able to grasp the full range of AR's capabilities as an author, including his stronger characteristics and also his weaker ones. That will put that person at a disadvantage in a full-range discussion on TarBoard. You may not agree, but it is a respectable argument.
I'll leave acid to the chemists. Silliness? Perhaps, but in that case no one is going to be offended by it so another acquittal there, I think.
Now can we stop all of this, separate the person from the problem, and be nice to each other - please?
