Glad to have you here.
I too have felt somewhat awed at times by the literary knowledge of some of the other members.
At the same time I have learnt a lot,
I think there is a core of longtime posters who know each other well and can take liberties with their comments to each other.
I am sure it is not meant to intimidate newer posters.
I read all the posts but pass on if I do not understand it or if it is meant for one particular person only.
I think it is almost imposssible for threads not to wander off down other and un-related roads, one can either follow along or move on to something more to your liking, which seems that you do.
It is wonderful that you find some things you enjoy and please feel free to post on what interests you.
I am sure this forum is read by many who never post at all.
