New TarBoarders always get a warm welcome to Tarboard.

Beginners must remember that Tarboard is a great British institution. The rulebook, like the British Constitution, is largely unwritten and can only be learnt by experience.

Debate on Tarboard closely resembles that in the House of Commons. Tarboarders lash each other without mercy and fulminate until they are blue in the face. Afterwards we are all good pals.

Newcomers are expected to serve a 5 year apprenticeship before they can propose changes to the rules.

Informal feedback is always welcome and both the Wheeltappers and the Turnips have an active social programme where apprentice Tarboarders can chat informally to Senior and Master Tarboarders over a pint.
