It just occurred to me that a classic example of brother and sister setting up house together is the Wordsworths. I don't recollect that anyone imputed improper relations there (unlike the Byron situation), though I believe Dorothy was far from pleased when Brother Bill married Mary Hutchinson. I could envisage Dorothea happily making the sort of home life her mother made for Prof Callum, and being devastated when Dick came back from an archaeological dig or whatever with a bright-eyed grad student in tow.
