My mother was cleaning out some closets and, in a cupboard full of childhood toys, found a trunk. 'Look through it, and see what you want,' she said.
It was full of BOOKS! The top layer contained E. Nesbit, some Oz books, a really neat dance novel, and, naturally, some Nancy Drew. Naturally, my response was - 'I'll take the whole trunk.' Tough luck, siblings!
These are books my Dad bought at the local Goodwill (think OxFam) when we were kids. The amazing part was that we never got any SA books, and I didn't discover them until adulthood.
