Jock - forgive me, but it seems to me that you are sitting on the fence here. I agree that 'colonial' appears to fall into Kathy's category of "friendly insults that would not be understood as friendly by outsiders". Should we not therefore avoid any such insult? Or is Kathy talking nonsense? I don't know the answer, but I am getting more and more confused. How are we supposed to behave on TarBoard? Should, therefore, you and I and, eg, JMN, stop our 'friendly insults'? Yes or no?
