If you want a real Winter Holiday, come to Northwestern Ontario. It has been a bracing minus thirty Celsius the last couple of nights, though it warms up to a balmy minus eighteen in the day. Skaters are out on the lake at the university, though Superior is still open to the shores, steaming like an immense witch's cauldron on contact with the cold, dry air (Lake Superior never freezes right over, though the margins get solid enough to support 10-ton trucks).
Finished marking my last exam at 4 this morning, so I can begin thinking of Christmas, and pass on Seasonal Wishes to all TARS everywhere.
