My latest few 'goes' on A Randome have turned up some unknown names. These include 'S Beacon' - who he/she? Another one is 'Chris Hatt', as in:

In reply to Chris Hatt's message, I am perplexed. In Missee Lee, page 213, Bridget says, -
'No one would have believed, in the last minutes of high tide, that Robert Thompson in a squashy hat was being observed from an island off Rio'.
To which Mr. Dixon replies, -
'Learning carries within itself certain dangers because out of necessity one has to learn from one's enemies.' .
It would be foolish to deny that the Sir Garnet is a topsail Laser and that Starboard will marry Lt. Col. T. E. Jolys.
This is typical of Ransome's attacks on the class agenda. When I was an able-seaman, living in the Outback, we used to use porridge to cook our copies of Swallows and Amazons.
Perhaps Ed, or *** ****** could do a search for 'marmalade' and prove I am right
.

The asterisks are by me, to veil the name of a Tarboarder who has, I'm afraid, died. Perhaps the personnel vocabulary needs a tweak, Ian? ;-)
