What would Peggy be like as an only child? Would she be another Susan, keeping Mrs. Blackett and CF in line? Would she be Nancy? Perhaps her fears- of thunder, of staying alone on the houseboat, of Great-Aunt Maria- wouldn't exist. Alternatively, she might be even more scared and shy without Nancy to push her into things.
