Ahoy!

I made my first visit to Coniston last week. I stayed at Holly Howe or Bankgroud Farm for three nights, and enjoyed the quiet (dead calm) view of the lake and Kanchenjunga.

Travelling on public transport, I explored around the area on foot and just went so far as to the Heald, where AR lived with Evgenia, and tried to find the Dog's Home in vain..., but on the last day, with the help from a very kind native guide from TARS who I met in Holly Howe I managed to find it, and visited the North Pole, or the Steamboat Museum, and even took a glance of Rio or Bowness very crowded with natives.
Thank you so much Robert, for all your time and kindness.

Besides I enjoyed the S&A Cruise on the lake (conducted by Gordon) and visited a souvenir shop in Rio, also run by a TARS member, whose name I forgot to ask.

I also received many advises from another TAR, Nick "Teasel" in advance to my trip.

Thank you so much, I appreciate it was such a memorable holiday for my birthday.

Three million cheers,

Sayoko
Tokyo
