Good luck with "East Anglia" - I am sure you will enjoy it.
If you haven't read any of the surrounding literature then be assured that there is plenty of it around - just have a look at the Tars Book Stall web site which you can access from : http://www.arthur-ransome.org/ar/index.html (clickable below).
"East Anglia" is written by Roger Wardale who has written various books about AR. One of his books can be especially recommended - I refer to "AR and The World of The S & A". A nicely presented book on good quality paper with lots of illustrations, many in colour. It has four preliminary chapters on AR's early life (including chapters on Russia and The Baltic) and then another 12 chapters, one on each of the 12 books.
Unfortunately it seems to now be out of print but if you could find it in a library you would certainly be most impressed.
