I always felt that when we discussed the finer points of ale on TarBoard we were 100% on topic. Funny how fellow TarBoarder Peter H (after experimenting with the St Tarboards boarding school metaphor) also decided that TarBoard is best explained to newcomers as The TarBoard Arms. I see TTA as a typical boisterous, but welcoming, English country pub.
