I agree, there's not much to them. Perhaps if they'd had the opportunity to appear in BS, we'd know them better and like them more. (Boarding school in France- yuck!)

I feel the same way about the Eels- we get such a short glimpse of them, and the boys at least are interchangeable. Daisy seems to be a wilder Nancy, and not much more. The only scene where I really like Daisy is on board the missionaries ship where, in the hearing of adults, they try to have "appropriate" conversations.
