I read in this months "Old Glory" (200th Issue)that this Museum is to close at the end of October and most probably will not reopen in 2007.
"Amazon" is not listed among the principle exhibits in the article but Esperance a.k.a. CF's Houseboat is listed.
There is a steam launch called "Swallow", which is one of their regular passenger boats.
The Museum may be closed for between 2 and 5 years and is becoming part of the Lakeland Arts Trust.
Doubtless TARS have an action plan, but this is a reminder to visit whilst you can if the article is correct. It is well worth a visit.
