Thanks Pam. The HH maintains that it's the grounds, especially
the lawn towards the lake (and the view from the steamer pier
towards the lawn) that is a close fit for Beckfoot. The HH also
considers as significant extensive parallels between the real
family that lived in Pullwood House (later Huyton Hill) and the
fictional Amazons and their uncle.
Mr Hobbs is teasing us with the title of his piece in "If Not
Duffers", Beckfoot Found! He's telling us that he's found
the real life location that inspired the fictional location.
He is not making the same claim about the actual house.
