I have been rereading my S&A books this Christmas Holidays, as I do every year and it has created a problem. Suffering from an uncontrollable craving for pemmican, I went to my local supermarket and the best I could do was corned beef! Does anyone know exactly what A.R. was referring to in his books when he mentions pemmican?
And, incidentally, exactly how much is enough fruit cake for 12 indoor people or 6 explorers? There goes my diet again!
