When I was making my comment, I was thinking of children's books that have impacted me and which deal with "real" life, as opposed to mythology or fantasy so Narnia doesn't really count either except as Aslan intersects Jesus in a couple of the books. I am not saying that there are no books which deal religious aspects of life, but I couldn't think of (m)any.
