One of the proposed threads for TARS Literary Weekend next September is the Carnegie Medal. PP was the first winner in 1937. There is a perception that some of the more recent winners have appealed more to the judges than to their intended readers, and discussion in this Tarboard thread has a similar message. We may have some interesting sessions.
