Elizabeth - it depends what you mean by 'TarBoarder'. There are quite a few people who regularly read the posts on TarBoard but who never themselves post. I know of one or two of these, so presumably there must be others as well. A password is not needed just to read TarBoard - anyone can access it. As you always give your email address on your posts, any of these 'observers' can email you thereby.
Although regularly 'observing' TarBoard is perfectly legitimate, the thought that people are doing this gives me a slightly creepy feeling. We are being watched. Why don't these people have the courage and courtesy to join in? Isn't it a bit like being a eunuch in a harem? (Oh dear. Perhaps I should have chosen a different analogy)
