In SD the Swallows, well John & Susan, are taken aback by Nancy & Peggy sneaking out on a day trip while the GA is there, rather than delaying until she has gone. But Susan understands that Nancy refuses to let the GA limit her. They know of course that CF and Mrs Blackett agree with the Amazons.
In SA the Amazons slip out of bed for night sailing and see lights in the houseboat. Later they realise that the burglars were aboard. CF is let into the secret, and John tells Mother. But both promise to keep it secret from Molly Blackett!
