This Title seems to have acquired a suitably 1930s flavour.

But Hey! This voyage wasn't meant to be regarded as an epic - we considered it just as a regular outing. I only mentioned it because somebody - I can't remember who - was doubting his ability to cruise English rivers and canals. All I wanted to do was to demonstrate that AAPs (a GA and a GU) could voyage and be warm, comfortable and well fed in a 16 foot open boat cluttered with machinery and sacks of coal. If we can do that surely ANYBODY can manage in a great posh centrally-heated hire cruiser.
