Can one also infer that their school was to the South of London. Roedean perhaps?

I leave others, more qualified than myself, to discuss the Roedean aspect and will
confine myself to the to the South of London question.

It seems likely that Mrs Walker put the Amazons on a fast train at Ipswich station
and Mrs Blackett picked them up at Liverpool Street Station in London.

From the downloadable map it's possible to see that, although it was possible
to reach destinations to the North of London by other routes, it is unlikely
that the journey could have been performed without changing trains which
would have introduced an unaceptable level of possibilities for error through
the A's mistaking or missing connections. In the circumstances I don't think
that the location of the school need necessarily have been South of London.
