I have recently gone to reading the most recent posts,reading those of interest to me, and I may add most are,even the ones that appear at first to be not so, often have something that is included in it.
I used to follow the threads but found it tedious as when they get longer they wander all over the page, and clickiing on some of them one finds that it has nothing to do with the original thread,or just a one liner between two individuals.
I just wonder if the sub forum method would produce less lurkers and more posters.
