Molly also had problems changing gear. I think Rattletrap was made before the general adoption of "synchromesh" gearboxes :-)
Regarding Stuart Turner, I built a single cylinder horizontal steam engine model using their H10 casting set many years ago now. I think it is still in the shed somewhere...
I also used to have a Stuart Turner transfer pump to fill my header tank from the rain water collection tank at my holiday house. (No mains water)
