Squashed flies I understand. Seed cake baffles me. My mother remembers something of the sort which had caraway seeds in it. Surely not? caraway seeds are so savoury. I always imagined something gorgeous like those Austrian poppy seed cakes. But I need the truth (and a recipe.) Don't spare me, all you AR food historians. I can take it.
