For those nr the Canada border, (eg Nigara Falls) you can usually get Devonshire Double Cream (etc), refrigerated, at the better supermarkets
(you may have to search for a bottle). Put in an ice-chest along with yr Bangers, Kippers (only at Fergus Ont. so far), FishPaste, etc, no difficulty in surviving a several-hr car trip...
