I was a meeting recently when Chris Smith launched the Children's Laureate award, which will be presented to a children's writer for a 2 year tenure. The Laureate's "job" will be to promote children's literature and will be chosen from an impressive list of children's authors. I believe that AR would have been perfect for it, had he been living now.
