The majority of Canadians say "ZED", but a few are beginning to say "ZEE", obviously because of the American influence. However, we still say VAAHS instead of VASE for that thing you use to hold flowers. We also sound the "h" in herb, instead of saying "erb", and call it Vietnam and not Vietnom as the Americans do. In fact, it's common for Americans to lengthen the "a" sound in words of foreign origin such as Hamburg and Maximilian. They come out as Homburg and Moximilian. I havent' figured out why yet.
