Peter, perhaps while you are listening to pre-war swing you might hear "Forty-three Lady in Sea-Green Pyjama Waiting for Trolley in Chu-Chin-Chow." Yes, there really is a 1930's song with that title. I heard it once and only once but have never forgotten it. Conjures up wonderful images. . . Similar to "Twenty-three Ginger-Beaded Sailors" Bertie Wooster once sang to entertain an unamused Jeeves.
