Fair enough Owen. However, it seems a little bit tricky to actually specify just what "Britain" is. I know what "Great Britain" is, also "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" and also "The British Isles" but just plain unadorned "Britain" - not so sure.

Great Britain - the big rightmost of those two islands;
UK of ... - the rightmost plus the top bit of the left one;
Brit Isles - The rightmost plus all of the left one.

Britain - ???

Perhaps you can elucidate for a struggling 'colonial'.
