Last night I caught up with a very old friend from the UK whom I have not seen for a very long time. It seems that since I last saw him, he has taken up sailing. He is now the part owner of a yacht that is moored in a place that we all know (on paper) very well as Secret Water.
When he told me this, I couldn't believe my ears. When he followed this information up with a standing invitation to do some sailing on the East Coast and the Thames Estuary next time I was in the UK, I couldn't believe my luck.
But here is the frustrating part. No one here at home understands why I am so excited about such a vague invitation. So thank goodness for Tarboard - I know that some of you here will understand!
