Odd. I'd always seen that as the main story- in fact there's little else. The rest of the story is the padding about... Good padding; the rainy day in the Dog's Home is one of AR's finest passages. But the backbone of the whole thing is avoiding the GA, and that's the adventure. Just more serious than usual.

Still, after WH, my favourite.
